First graduates for new School

24 February 2011

The leaders of tomorrow in the hotel, resort and tourism industry have entered the workforce after the School of Hotel, Resort and Tourism Management had their inaugural group of students graduate on Saturday, February 12.

The School was established within the Faculty of Business in 2009 after a growing demand for graduates with the skills, abilities and drive to succeed in high level management roles in the industry.

After the graduation, seventy-five attendees celebrated the occasion as well as the School’s second birthday at a sunset cocktail reception at the ADCO Amphitheatre at Bond University. Attendees included graduates, current students, the Chancellor and Vice-Chancellor of Bond University, as well as key industry personnel.

Guests enjoyed mingling and networking over drinks and canapés by the lake. The graduates were also inducted into the School of Hotel, Resort and Tourism Management’s Hotel and Tourism Society.

All our graduates are on their way to the top with several securing highly sought-after internships and others gaining employment in prestigious companies.
