Bond University’s globally recognised Australian Centre for Family Business (ACFB) has recently developed and commenced rolling out a new Family Business Directors’ Course, which had been commissioned by Family Business Australia.
Family Business Australia, the peak body in the industry, previously acknowledged the ACFB for their ability to undertake research with practical relevance and appointed the Centre as their preferred education provider.
The Family Business Directors’ Course has been favourable received by family business leaders across the country and is already booked to be delivered another six times in 2011.
Dr Justin Craig, ACFB Director and Associate Professor of Entrepreneurship and Family Business commented on the fact that all ACFB programs are evidence based and largely built around their own published research, which has many benefits.
“This gives us the opportunity to interact with the directors of some of Australia’s most successful families in business, which allows us to ensure our research program is relevant,” said Dr Craig.
“It also reinforces to us, and the family business leaders, that decision making, though never easy, relies on the ability to reason with logic, and the lenses that are provided by established theories and frameworks, assists in, and is vital to, this process.”
Funds from the Family Business Directors’ Course go directly to support and sustain the ACFB’s research program which helps Bond University and the Faculty of Business continue to be globally recognised for leading edge research.
