Science and technology fair supported by Bond

11 October 2011

Bond University’s School of Information Technology was a proud sponsor of this year’s Gold Coast Science Fair, held at Varsity College and Bond University in August. The fair was a two-day event showcasing the latest developments in science and technology.

Occupying a whole floor, the School of Information Technology section was a hive of activity across both days with our mobile phone health check and flying drone demonstration proving to be a stellar attraction among approximately 12,000 visitors that came to the fair.

The Gold Coast Science Fair 2011 was a fun and engaging event for people of all ages. It showcased innovative local technologies in an interactive way providing hands-on demonstrations, activities and competitions with a strong emphasis on education and enjoyment.

An initiative of the Gold Coast City Council, the Gold Coast Science Fair is a key activity within the TechGC program. The event is proudly supported by local and state government as well as principal sponsors Bond University and Varsity Lakes Community Ltd.
