Summary
This presentation provides an overview of the publication process including why accounting/auditing papers get rejected from the major accounting journals. It is based on my period as Editor of Auditing: A Journal of Practice & Theory over the last three years and previous six years as Associate Editor. The presentation and discussion are aimed at PhD students and new researchers. It will include areas such as selecting a publishable research topic, showing incremental contribution, linking it with previous literature and how to decide where your paper should be sent to.
