Paul Detheridge – Executive General Manager, Enterprise Customer Development
Suncorp Business Services
Paul has been an executive in the Suncorp Technology team since July 2007 and is currently in the role of Executive General Manager of the Enterprise Services Customer Development function. He is responsible for the Customer Relationships for Enterprise Services, which delivers shared Applications and Infrastructure solutions to other parts of IT and Business customers in the corporate centre including HR, Finance, Marketing, Group Risk and Real Estate. The role delivers all project work for the Enterprise Services Group.
He started his career as an Applications Developer in the early 80’s and moved through traditional paths from Analyst Programmer through to Project Management, traversing primary industries, police and financial markets with the Queensland Treasury Corporation. In 1995 he became a Consultant Project Manager with SMS and worked across many clients with a focus on the energy industry. In 2001 he went freelance and worked primarily with Suncorp delivering, technology projects and business change programs until he joined Suncorp permanently in 2004 as a Manager.

Bob Hayward
Chief Technology & Innovation Officer, CSC Australia & CSC Asia
Bob Hayward is the Chief Technology & Innovation Officer for CSC Australia and CSC Asia. In this role, he is responsible for the overall direction and business management of CSC’s technology offerings, product strategies and innovation programs in the Asia/Pacific region. CSC is a US$2b business employing over 7,000 people in Asia/Pacific.
Prior to joining CSC, Bob was a Director of IT Services for KPMG Australia and was Senior Vice President and Research Fellow Asia Pacific for Gartner, the IT research firm. He previously held regional leadership positions with Candle Corporation and distributed Tivoli Systems in Asia Pacific through Qualix, his own company. Bob is a co-founder of InQbator on the Gold Coast, Australia, and is also the co-founder and continuing non-executive director for Asia Online, an Asian-based business in the field of automated machine translation technologies and consumer portals.
Bob is a Director of the Australian Information Industries Association and Chairman of the AIIA Environment & Sustainability Council

Carol Woodhouse
Australia Development Laboratory (ADL), IBM Australia
Carol manages the Graduate and Intern Program for the Australia Development Laboratory (ADL) at IBM Australia. She is responsible for the sourcing and hiring of Interns and Graduates for the software development teams within the ADL. Carol is also a Business Operations Professional providing services including recruitment, financial, HR and process support.
Carol is an avid supporter of furthering opportunities for girls within the IT industry and has been involved with organising “Technology Can Take You Anywhere”, IBM EXITE (Exploring Interests in Technology and Engineering) Camps since 2005, and working with schools to inspire girls to take up IT as their preferred career option. She is also an IBM University Ambassador and works with the universities to assist in increasing the number of IT enrolments.

Richard Alston
Richard was a barrister before entering politics in the 1980s and was member of the Australian Senate from 1986 to 2004, representing the state of Victoria. From February 2005 to February 2008, Alston was Australian High Commissioner to the United Kingdom in London.
Since leaving Parliament Alston has served as a non executive director of Australian public listed companies Hansen Technologies, UCMS and Broadcasting Services Australia (Chairman). He is currently a non executive director of Chime Communications PLC and a member of the international advisory board of London based hedge fund, CQS. Since 2009 he has been Chairman of Melba Recordings, producer of the highest quality Australian fine music.
Since 2004 he has been an Adjunct Professor of Information Technology at Bond University.

Jeff Rouse
Information Systems Development Manager, AUSTAR.
Jeff began in the IT industry in 1994 and has worked in permanent and contract roles in Australia and the UK. He has worked in industries including engineering, health, media and energy. However his passion has been in the communications and digital media industries where he has over 12 years experience.
Jeff has worked with many technologies and across many IT disciplines during his career. With a focus in Systems and Database Administration, he has also worked as a Developer, Network Administrator, Systems Manager and Project Manager. Jeff joined AUSTAR in 2001 and in his current role as the Information Systems Development Manager, he manages over 30 developers across three teams.

Dr Kelvin Ross
Director – KJ Ross & Associates
B.Sc. Hons 1 (Comp. Sci.), Ph.D. (Comp. Sci. & Elec. Eng.), MACS
Kelvin holds a PhD in Computer Science and Electrical Engineering in the areas of configuration management and high-integrity software development. Kelvin started his IT career with Hornet Radar Systems Group, Defence Science and Technology Organisation, developing software support tools for F/A-18 in-flight radar software. While studying towards his PhD, Kelvin was employed by the Software Verification Research Centre, where he was involved in consulting, professional training delivery and research.
Kelvin established K. J. Ross & Associates Pty Ltd in 1997, a consulting firm specialising in software verification and validation. In particular Kelvin is renowned for his expertise in software testing, through which he has been involved in product testing ranging from shrink-wrapped software, web-based applications and servers, distributed and fault-tolerant systems, messaging systems, and safety-critical medical, defence and transportation systems.

Jeff Davis
Executive Principal - Varsity College
Jeff is the Executive Principal of Varsity College, a school with an enrolment of 2700 students from years P-12, on the Gold Coast in Queensland. He was previously the Principal of Elisabeth Murdoch College in Langwarrin, Victoria.
Jeff’s passions include golf, bike riding swimming and going to the beach with his children. He loves living on the Gold Coast and believes Varsity Lakes is a truly amazing suburb which fully embodies and supports its motto - 'Work, live and play'.

Sharon Schoenborn
State Director, Queensland, Northern Territory & Pacific Islands, Microsoft Australia
As State Director, QLD/NT/Pacific Islands, Sharon Schoenborn is responsible for driving Microsoft’s overall business in the region.
With a team of more than 70 staff based in Queensland and the Northern Territory, Sharon is responsible for meeting the needs of Microsoft’s customers, which include governments and businesses, as well as engagement with Microsoft partners developing leading edge technology solutions based on Microsoft’s platform.
Prior to her State Director role, Sharon was the Enterprise Partner Director for Microsoft Australia, overseeing Microsoft’s engagement with global alliance and system integrator partners helping customers realise the value of their investment in solutions based on Microsoft technology.
Ms Schoenborn joined Microsoft in April 2001 as an Organisational Consultant focused on leadership development, change management and corporate acquisitions. Prior to Microsoft, Sharon led the international leadership development program at Great Plains Software, based in the United States. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Management and a Master of Science Degree in Leadership Development from Minnesota State University.
