Entrepreneurship is a key study area at Bond University and one of our classes were recently treated to a ‘masterclass’ with the entrepreneurs behind leading local establishments.
Owners from Black Coffee Lyrics and a co-founder and marketing manager from entertainment venue Elsewhere attended a lecture to share insights from their own businesses.
Assistant Professor Baden U’Ren said the knowledge these guests provided to the Bond students was invaluable, considering Black Coffee Lyrics is in the top 5 for the people’s choice award in the Australian newspaper’s Top 50 Hottest Restaurants, and Elsewhere is a multi-award winning venue.
“The Gold Coast continues to prove itself as a hotbed of innovation and entrepreneurship, and we are proud to nurture relationships between Bondies and the city's best and brightest,” said Assistant Professor U’Ren.
“These interactive sessions see significant benefits for our students, who receive an opportunity to apply the course material and see its relevancy and currency first hand.
“It is also wonderful to see our entrepreneurial partners achieving such success, and we are very proud to welcome them into our classrooms to share their experiences.”
