Dean’s Awards Night

The Faculty of Health Sciences & Medicine Awards Night is held in week four of each semester to recognise distinguished students’ accomplishments from the previous semester of study. The event is attended by academic staff, student award recipients and their family and friends, affiliated business professionals, and various community members.

There are three categories for Health Science & Medicine Awards:

  • First In Class Award – awarded to those who achieve the highest marks in their class, minimum of a High Distinction
  • Vice Chancellor’s List Award – granted to students whose GPA was equal to or exceeded 85%
  • Dean’s List Award – granted to students whose GPA was between 82-84%, inclusive
  • Services Award – HSM Student Association recognises two professors for teaching excellence and one student is recognised for outstanding contributions to a faculty member
