This professional development session titled Third Circle was presented by Peter Melrose and provided participants with a clearer understanding of how to engage with the child protection system in Queensland. We looked at a number of aspects to do with notifications, Children at Risk, and indicators, who to contact, and how to work with children and minimise the risk of a notification on yourself. We also explored new information on the federal government initiatives for child protection, notifying as a health professional and new initiative of the Queensland Government for indigenous children and young people. The session was highly interactive.
