Setting Children up for Social Success – Guiding Young Children’s Social Behaviour

This professional development session will explore the relationships that adults are in when they are guiding children’s social behaviours - Are they helpful or unhelpful, respectful or disrespectful, relevant or irrelevant to today’s child? We will ponder the role of the adult in developing children’s social behaviour . Dr Carter will introduce a simple behaviour guidance process for teaching young children social behaviours and will discuss the social consequences associated with teaching social behaviours.
