
Regarded as Queensland's premier Celtic group, Súnas is a fiery four-piece band featuring multi-instrumentalists and exquisite vocal harmonies. Known for their engaging and intense stage presence, Súnas have been delighting audiences around Australia and the world for over ten years with their fresh, exciting interpretations of traditional Celtic music. They play a unique blend of original, contemporary and traditional tunes and songs.
Their second album, Celtic Road (2011), spent over ten weeks in the ARIA classical/world charts, climbing to number 4 and making the ABC’s top 10 best-selling albums of 2011. Songs from Celtic Road are featured on radio stations around Australia, on BBC in the UK and worldwide. Singer Sarah Calderwood’s solo album, As Night Falls, also reached the ABC’s top 10 and receives worldwide airplay. A third album is currently underway.
Súnas have collaborated with Mike Scott (the Waterboys), Shane Nicholson, Alan Kelly (Ire) and Kevin Crawford (Lunasa). Tracks from their albums are featured on numerous compilation and 'best of' CDs. They have toured and headlined the major folk and world music festivals in Australia and the UK, including the prestigious Perthshire Amber festival in Scotland.

From University Drive, enter PG3 by turning left just past the ADCO Construction site, into the driveway beside The Terraces.
