Work ExperienceWork Experience is open to all students who are eager to gain industry experience in a workplace or who may have just missed out on qualifying for an internship. The process works the same as an internship, allowing students to attend the workplace of an industry employer where you will be given guidance and supervision as you gain practical experience. This provides students with invaluable real-world experience in their industry of choice and can lead directly to employment opportunities after graduation. Students are encouraged to seek out their own Work Experience options as they should be networking and researching their discipline of choice throughout their degree. Despite Work Experience being ‘not for credit’, application forms still need to be completed for insurance purposes and returned to the Alumni and Internship Development Officer. For further information or to discuss Work Experience opportunities available, please contact: Glen Tunks - Alumni and Industry Development Officer Faculty of Health Sciences and Medicine
Note: As Work Experience is NOT for academic credit there is no minimum GPA requirement, no required assessment items and you do not need to have an academic supervisor for your Work Experience placement.
