Experience J Day (Journalism Day)

On Thursday, 28th February Bond University welcomes Year 11 and Year 12 students to spend a day on campus learning about careers in Journalism. Students will have the opportunity to engage in interactive journalistic activities, hear from guest speakers and experience life on campus.

Meet and Greet at Bond University (Building 1A, Level 3, Common Room)

9:15 – 9:45am

Campus Tour with current Bond University Students

9:45 – 10:15am

Journalism as a Career Presented By Assistant Professor Mike Grenby

10:15 – 10:45am

Guest Speaker from the Gold Coast Bulletin

10:45 – 11:00am

Morning Tea (students to bring their own)

11:00am – 1pm

Television Studio Experience

1pm – 1:30pm

Lunch in the Television Studio Precinct (complimentary)

1:30 – 2:45pm

Backpack Journalism Interactive Activity

2:45pm

Feedback session and Certificate Distribution

3:00pm

Conclusion.

 

*Students are requested to find their own mode of transportation to and from the University.

Cost

J Day is a complimentary event and places are limited, therefore we encourage students with a genuine interest in Journalism to register early to avoid disappointment.
