J-Day (Journalism Day)

The Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences welcomes Year 11 and Year 12 students to Bond University during the month of February for an interesting day learning about a future career in Journalism and engaging in some interactive Journalism related activities.

Program

9:00Registration and Welcome to Bond University, Common Room, Level 3, Building 1 A, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences.
9:15Bond University Campus tour, by existing Bond University Students.
9:45"Journalism as a Career” - Presented by our Jounalism Academic staff members.
10.45   Morning Tea Break (Students to bring their own)
11:00Gold Coast Bulletin guest speaker and an Interactive news writing workshop.
12:30Complimentary Lunch 'Cafe Bond'.
1:30TV News Reading activity in our film and television studio.
2:45Feedback session and information on Bachelor of Journalism.
3:00Participation Certificate distribution and conclusion.

 

*Students are requested to find there own mode of transportation to and from the University for this activity.
