Bond Talks Session

Enjoying Life In Your Golden Years

Aging is a natural and significant process of life. Whilst most people age without considerable difficulties, some people do experience substantial challenges in their golden years. Health (mental and physical), memory problems and loss of loved ones through death can be extremely stressful and impact on daily life. People are also often concerned that they may develop more serious mental and physical disabilities at this time of their life, without understanding what is considered ‘normal’ in the medical profession.

Dr Deborah Wilmoth will present on what is typical in the aging process and how to identify signs of more serious problems. She will address cognitive aspects of aging including memory function and problem solving methods and skills; as well as how people’s social interactions alter in the golden years and how to implement healthy habits and social activity into a daily routine.
