Bond University will host a presentation on Coal Seam Gas and the regulations in Queensland. The host of the presentation will be Dominic McGann, a Partner at McCullough Robertson.
Mr. McGann joined McCullough Robertson in 1996, following a period as the Executive Director of Crown Law – Queensland, the law firm of the State Government.
Prior to joining McCullough Robertson, he has held prominent positions within State Government organisations for seven years. He is one of few lawyers in Queensland with a combination of significant senior government experience as well as private practice experience.
Mr. McGann is a mining and resources expert with over 30 years experience as a general commercial lawyer. An element of his practice is native title and cultural heritage matters, on which he is an acknowledged authority.
His current practice can be broadly divided into:
• development: including land tenure issues such as dealing with native title
• operation: including safety, environmental compliance, electricity connection and supply and contract performance, and
• corporate: including strategic project advice to boards and stakeholder relations.
Mr. McGann has acted for various coal, base metals and other mining operations, petroleum and gas operators, water entities, electricity entities, ports, State Government agencies, foreign governments, as well as sugar and timber entities and pastoral companies.
This is a great opportunity to gain a further insight into the current regulations and to discuss the issues with a mining and resources expert.
