To help you obtain the law graduate outcome you are looking for, there are a variety of skills and experiences you need to have “under your belt” to ensure that you stand out from the crowd in a competitive market. This interactive workshop will provide you with tips on what law graduate employers are looking for and assist you in preparing a semester by semester plan of what you need to be doing outside of study to ensure that you maximise your marketability for law graduate positions.
This workshop is targeted at students in their first year of an LLB or JD.
By the end of the workshop, students should be able to:
• Identify what skills and experiences they can gain while studying their law degree
• Understand when law applications should be made
• Understand the importance of a Career Action Plan and taking responsibility for managing their career
