Daniel Ryan (Bond Alumni) who is now an Associate to the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC, Chief Justice of Queensland and also Ms Kylie Burton, who is an Associate to the Honourable Justice Robert Gotterson of the Court of Appeal. 
 

Daniel Ryan started at Bond in 081 and graduated at the end of 102. He taught at Bond in 103. As the Associate to the Chief Justice, he has been exposed to work across all of the Supreme Court's jurisdictions in Brisbane and on circuit - civil and criminal trials, civil applications, and the Court of Appeal. He has also seen the out-of-court aspects of the Office of the Chief Justice, including organising events featuring senior members of the legal profession and the community, writing speeches, and meeting dignitaries, including Lord Neubeurger, the new President of the UK Supreme Court.

In 2011, Kylie Burton was an associate to her Honour Judge Bradley at the District Court at Ipswich. Her Honour sat exclusively in Crime and Children’s Court and undertook a number of circuits including Mt Isa, the Gulf, Toowoomba, Beenleigh and Brisbane. During her time with Judge Bradley, Kylie successfully completed her Practical Legal Training and was admitted as a solicitor of the Supreme Court of Queensland in December 2011.  In 2012, Kylie served as the associate to the Honourable Justice Chesterman in the Court of Appeal until his retirement in late April. She is currently associate to the Honourable Justice Gotterson. Working in the Court of Appeal has provided Kylie with exposure to the criminal court process from an appellate perspective.
