Scholarship Application Procedures

Application Deadlines

  • For January admission: November 1st of the previous year
  • For May admission: March 31st
  • For September admission: July 31st

Note that these deadlines apply to law scholarships only. Other university scholarships may have earlier deadlines.

Deferrals

New and continuing students may defer their commencement date for up to one year while retaining their financial aid.

Conditions

In addition to those specified above, all scholarships must maintain a nominated semester average. Undergraduate students will normally receive a first warning if they average below the required level. If they then fail to meet the specified average in the following semester, all financial aid will be withdrawn. Postgraduates students normally receive no warning. Gross failure of a subject and misconduct (including plagiarism) may also represent grounds for the withdrawal of financial aid.

Notes:

  • The information above relates only to financial aid offered by the Faculty of Law
  • Financial aid will only be considered upon receipt of a written application
  • Financial aid cannot be granted retrospectively
  • Law Faculty policy is subject to change without notice at all times
