Philip Follent
Born and bred in Queensland, Philip Follent was trained in architecture at the University of Queensland before establishing his own Gold Coast practice in 1982.
He was appointed the Queensland Government Architect on September 1, 2008 - 2012, is the Chair of the Board for Urban Places, and also holds a position on the Queensland Design Council. One of the youngest architects to have been elevated to Fellow of the Australian Institute of Architects, Prof Follent was awarded Life Fellowship in 2007 for exceptional contribution to architecture.

Raymond Quek
Raymond Quek is an architect, architectural historian and architectural educator. He is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, UK and the RSA. He was recently Head of Architecture at Nottingham Trent University, and previously Director of Architectural Studies at University of Nottingham. He has also worked in Universities in Liverpool, Manchester, Singapore and Wellington, New Zealand. He received his professional architectural degree at Liverpool University where he won the Charles Reilly Medal. He won a Cambridge Commonwealth Trust Award to pursue postgraduate work at Clare Hall, University of Cambridge, in the History and Philosophy of Architecture. His academic research explores Architectural Representation in the History of Ideas as a problem of knowledge, the meeting of East and West circa 14 – 18c, and problematic dissemination of leading paradigms particularly in art & architecture. Chris Knapp
Chris Knapp is a Senior Teaching Fellow in the Soheil Abedian School of Architecture, serving also as the Discipline Leader in Design and Technology. His teaching focuses upon design studio, construction technology, and digital communications, and he has twice been commended with the ISDA Director’s Excellence in Teaching Award. Professor Knapp is the recipient of a 2011 Vice Chancellor’s Grant investigating research prototypes for digitally fabricated building skins. Prior to joining the Bond faculty, he was a Lecturer in Architecture at the University of Michigan. Chris holds degrees in architecture from the University of Michigan and Princeton University. Concurrent to teaching, he also directs the firm Built-Environment Practice.

Tracey Woods
Tracey Woods studied at the University of Tasmania, Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen and The University of Sydney. Having a fascination with media and architecture –Tracey was one of the founding creative directors of the interview based magazine – Adam & Eve. This has led to an arts based website which presents interdisciplinary collaborations between creatives - (The Adam and Eve Projects).
Her research is in the life and work of British architect/academic Sir Peter Cook and the 1960’s reactionary architecture group – Archigram and also within the pedagogy of Design Studio across International boundaries.

Jonathan Nelson
Jonathan is a Teaching Fellow and the manager of the Digital Fabrication and Research Laboratory at the Solheil Abedian School of Architecture. He has spent the last ten years working in the architecture, fabrication, and software development fields and continues to explore interests in these areas while at Bond. He currently teaches courses in design communication and architectural technology.
Jonathan completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Oregon (B.Arch, 2001) and his postgraduate work at Bond University (M.ConPrac, 2012) where he received the Chartered Institute of Building Award for Excellence in Postgraduate Coursework.

Mark Bagguley – Crab Studio
Before studying at the Architectural Association (AA) in London in the early 1990s, Mark was a qualified product designer specialising in architectural components and furniture design. Mark has worked on all scales of architectural design from component design to masterplanning and on projects which ranged from museums and galleries to housing, retail, sports academies and transportation infrastructure often working as the project director from the inception stage. The Masterplanning and scheme design of the 15 hectare Westfield London ‘shopping town’ complex and associated transport projects led to a major growth in the Ian Ritchie office and complex challenges for which Mark played a major part in orchestrating. Mark joined Crab in March 2009 as Project Director.

Gavin Robotham - Crab Studio
Gavin Robotham graduated from the Bartlett UCL where he has received major prizes from the Royal Institute of British Architects and subsequently the Knox Scholar at Harvard University’s Graduate School of Design. His work was exhibited at the 2004 Venice Architecture Biennale where he was also, along with Sir Peter Cook, associate curator of the British Pavilion. In addition to his role at CRAB Studio, Gavin continues to teach design and is a guest critic. Via his consultant role at Populous, he is currently a consultant on both the Olympic Park and stadium for the organisers of London 2012.
