The Australian Experience offers three exciting summer abroad study programs over 4 and 6 weeks, where you can discover the beauty and wonder of the land down under while earning credit toward your university studies!

The Australian Experience is an experiential study abroad program offered over the northern hemisphere summer and winter breaks, removing the need for overseas students to take time out from their regular studies at home. Students on these study programs will become familiar with Australia’s history, culture, ecology, geography, fauna and flora by visiting some of Australia’s most unique and amazing locations including;

  • Lady Elliot Island on the Great Barrier Reef
  • Fraser Island
  • Uluru (Ayer's Rock)
  • Canberra, Australia’s capital city
  • Sydney, including the Opera House and Harbour Bridge

The 4 Week Programs Programs are perfect for students who like to make a ‘splash’ with much of the program spent in and out of the water around islands, coral cays, lakes and beaches. This option offers students one subject credit for the Australian Environmental Issues subject.

The 6 Week Program is for students looking for a broader experience of Australia, taking in the Red Centre – Alice Springs and Uluru (Ayer’s Rock), Darwin, Canberra, Sydney and some of the Queensland coast. This option offers students two subject credits for the Australian History and Culture and Australian Geography and Ecology: An introduction subjects. The programs running from June to August can be combined, offering students a total of three subject credits toward their studies.
