Students gain knowledge and practical experience in film and television production. Subjects cover the nature of film language, scriptwriting, film project development and television production.
Film and Television Major
The major equips graduates with knowledge, skills and experience directly relevant to employment in the film and television industry.
The major comprises six (6) subjects and must include:
- FITV 11-100 Screen Production 1
- FITV 11-110 Screenwriting 1
- FITV 11-150 Producing 1: Film Industry
- FITV 12-202 Cinematography and Lighting
- FITV 12-220 Screen Production 2
- FITV 12-203 Editing 1
The double major comprises twelve (12) subjects and includes all of those subjects previously listed plus:
- FITV 11-120 Image and Photography
- FITV 12-201 Directing 1: Actors
- FITV 11-130 Film Analysis 1: Style and Genre
- FITV 12-210 Screenwriting 2
Plus any other two (2) Film and Television (FITV) subjects
