English Help Program
Welcome
Welcome to the Humanities and Social Sciences web pages which have been designed to aid all students with their university skills. We understand that University study is very demanding and that different students have difficulties in diverse areas. We have put together the following ideas to help you get through your program.
If you are having problems with time management, memory retention or would like some suggestions for study techniques, why not join one of Bond’s workshops. Humanities also offer a range of full credit subjects which improve all aspects of Academic English, including reading, writing, listening and speaking.
If English is not your native language and you feel you would benefit from some extra language tuition, Bond offers personally tailored lessons to suit your specific requirements. Our Online learning section also has varied and interesting ways to improve your listening and pronunciation as well as detailed help on writing University papers. This is backed up with a list of suggested reading material available in the library. The English Help Centre in the Humanities building is the place to go to talk to someone about English problems and get some help, exercises and study ideas. If you have a specific question regarding an essay, sentence construction, grammar point or writing style, we also have English professionals standing by to answer your questions by email.
Good luck with your studies!
