Career and Leadership Forum

Career and leadership forums are organised by the University, recruiters and employers on a regular basis.  Our Alumni and other corporate achievers are often invited to meet and inspire current students.

Some past presenters have included:

  • Mr Richard Sheppard, Deputy Managing Director of Macquarie Group Limited.  Since 1969, Macquarie Group has been associated with a stream of major financial innovations, achieving significant benefits for clients and underpinning Macquarie’s reputation as a market leader.
  • Mr Robert Elstone, Managing Director and CEO, Australian Securities Exchange (ASX).Robert Elstone joined ASX as Managing Director and CEO, having served for more than six years as Managing Director and CEO of SFE Corporation, the holding company for the Sydney Futures Exchange and its related risk management entities.
  • Dr Ziggy Switkowski, Head of the Federal Government's inquiry into the viability of a domestic nuclear power industry by Prime Minister, The Hon John Howard MP.  Dr Ziggy Switkowski had held the CEO position of Australia's two telecommunication giants Telstra and Optus. He has also held the position of Director of Amcor Limited, Foxtel and The Business Council of Australia.
  • Mr Marcus C Blackmore AM Executive Chairman of Blackmores Ltd. Blackmores LTD is a public company employing some 400+ people in Australia and New Zealand.
Dr John Stuckey, McKinsey & Company.  Dr Stuckey advises senior executives of major Australian companies on strategy and organisation issues. John was the managing partner of the Australasian practice, chairman of Asia and
on the firm's global board. Today, John is a part-time senior advisor with the firm, enabling him to pursue other business interests.
