Collections

The library collection includes over 108,000 volumes, plus 2000 print journal titles access to over 50,000 electronic journals. 55,000 full text electronic books and subscriptions to over 120 databases. 

John & Alison Kearney Library

The John & Alison Kearney Library collection includes books, journals, databases, and multimedia resources in a wide range of subject areas.

John and Alison Kearney Law Library

The John and Alison Kearney Law Library has an extensive collection of specialized law materials in both print and electronic formats. The collection includes an extensive range of primary and secondary materials for Australia and many other countries.

Virtual Library

Links to information resources are provided via the Library's web site. Electronic resources provide direct access to thousands of newspaper, magazine and journal articles in a wide range of subject areas, along with company information, industry profiles, taxation and legal information, and Australian statistics. Students and staff of Bond University can access these electronic resources from anywhere on campus. Access is also available from off campus.

Special Collections

Feature Film and TV Collection

The Feature Film and TV Collection on level 2 of the Library includes more than 1,500 DVDs and videos for film and television studies.  The collection includes feature films, short films, documentaries and television series.

Film Adaptation Collection

The Adaptation Collection contains resources for the study of films which have been adapted from novels, plays, comics, etc.  For each adapted film the set of resources includes a copy of the film on DVD, its screenplay and the original novel, play or comic.

Family Business Collection

The Family Business Collection contains many books and some audiovisual material relating to all aspects of family owned businesses in Australia and internationally.  In addition to material covering the operation and planning of the family business, there are biographies and autobiographies of business people and histories of families and their enterprises.

Bond Collection

The Bond Collection is a collection of published and unpublished historical material dealing with Bond. The Bond in Pictures component of the Bond Collection documents the significant events and construction of the University.

The collection includes:

  • Bond Archive - Books and newsletters
    Some of the books deal with Bond University and its history; several are published works on a wide range of topics authored by Bond University academic and general staff.
  • Schools/Faculty Material - material produced by various Schools and Faculties at Bond University, including course outlines, annual reports, curriculum guides, handbooks and other assorted material.
  • Promotional Ephemera - promotional material produced by Bond University, including brochures, booklets, pamphlets, handbooks and student guides.
  • Posters - unframed posters of Bond University and University Park Hotel
  • Campus Newspapers and Newsletters - Bond University newspapers and newsletters, staff bulletins, student newspapers, and School or Faculty newsletters.
  • Newspaper Clippings - extensive collection of newspaper clippings of news items about Bond University.
  • Bond Corporation and other Miscellaneous Material - financial statements, annual reports, and promotional material from the Bond Corporation; a small amount of miscellaneous material with no apparent relationship to Bond Corporation or Bond University.
  • Photographs - over 8000 photographs, negatives of Bond University, events, buildings and personalities.
  • Videos and Audiocassettes - more than 200 video tapes dealing with Bond University.
  • Oversized Material - large framed photographs, artists' and architects' renderings of the campus, framed samples of upholstery, floor tiling, paint samples for several Bond University buildings.
