Referencing Acknowledging your sources when referring to someone else's work in your assignments is integral to academic integrity, and failure to do so can have serious consequences. Many different referencing styles exist which specify exactly how you should format your references. Vancouver is the style used in Bond's School of Medicine, and APA is the style used by the School of Health Sciences. There may be exceptions to this, so you should always make sure you know which style your lecturer/supervisor requires you to use. The Library's Referencing Guides (link available on the Library homepage) cover the basics of each referencing style used at Bond. EndNote and RefWorks
EndNote and RefWorks are reference management tools available to Bond University students and staff. These programs can help you with your referencing, taking a lot of the work out of keeping track of your references and formatting your papers. Information about EndNote and RefWorks can be found on the Library homepage under the Tools section. Sessions on how to use these tools are held each semester, for more information click Events on the Library homepage. Please ask your Faculty Librarian if you're interested in knowing more about these, or would like to organise a workshop for a group of your classmates.
