** 7 Day Reserve loans are being trialled in the Law Library in Semester 1, 2013. Make sure you check the due dates of the items as we don't send reminder emails before the book is due.

We do send an email when you don't return it on time, so remember to check your student email account.

Returning Items Late

When you don’t return items you’ve borrowed from the Library by their due date, you begin to accrue demerit points. Once you reach 1000 points you’re blocked from borrowing from the Library for a week. Demerit points differ for books, DVDs and reserve items:

Type of Item Demerit Points Accrued
Books and Multimedia 10 points per day per item
Film and Television Series on DVD and Video 50 points per day per item
3 Hour Reserve Collection Items, including Closed Reserve 100 points per hour per item
7 Day Reserve Collection Items 200 points per day per item

For more information on borrowing and returning items, check the Library website.

Serious or repeated abuse of borrowing privileges and breaches of associated Library and University policies and regulations may result in more serious penalties and misconduct charges.

Food and Drink in the Library

students-library-01

All food and drinks should be consumed before entering the library. However, we do allow drinks in covered containers (non-alcoholic) and packaged, dry snack foods (such as muesli bars, crisps and chocolates) and fruit. Please eat only while seated and not when using University computers. Make sure you take all your rubbish with you when you leave or place it in a bin.

Quiet Study Spaces in the Library

In the Law Library we ask you to have quiet conversations on Level 2 and in the group study rooms. Level 3 is a designated silent study zone, so we ask you not to have conversations on that level, including conversations on your mobile phone.

Check the Library Code of Conduct for more information on noise, food and drink in the Library.

Acceptable Use of ICT Facilities Policy

Bond University has a Student Acceptable use of ICT Policy that governs your use of all University computing, networks, facilities and services. You agree to this policy whenever you log on to a University computer.
