Community Borrowing Visitors to Bond University can apply for an Associate Borrower card for the Main Library and Law Library. Staff & Students from other Australian Universities have access to the book collection of the Main Library under the Australia University scheme. Please refer to the Reciprocal Borrowing Page for more details. Who can join? Australian residents aged 18 years and over may apply for Associate Membership. How do I borrow? Bring proof of current address and complete an application form to register at the Library and Computing Service Desk as an Associate borrower. A subscription fee applies. How many items can I borrow and for how long? Associate borrowers are able to borrow 5 items for 2 weeks from the Library’s book collection. How can I extend my loans? Before the book is due back, you can extend your loans online, via your borrower information. If the item is overdue, please contact the library for renewing, either in person, or by phone - 07 5595 1510 How do I check my loans? You can check the due dates of your loans by logging in to your borrower information. Are there penalties for late returns? Please return or renew your loans by the due date. You will not be able to borrow any more items if you have overdue loans. You will also accrue demerit points for overdue loans and your borrowing privileges will be suspended if you accrue 1000 points. Overdue loans accrue 20 points per day. Demerit points accruing on individual loans and recorded against previous loans can be viewed in your borrower information. Can I access electronic resources? Please note that legal and licensing restrictions mean that Bond University is unable to provide visitors with access to the electronic resources available to current Bond University students and staff.
