All current Academic and General Staff of Bond University can borrow from the Main and John & Alison Kearney Law Libraries.

How do I borrow?
You need to be registered before you can borrow items from the Library.  Bring your current Bond University staff ID card to the Library and Computing Service Desk to register and subsequently whenever you wish to borrow.

How many items can I borrow and for how long?
Staff are able to borrow from the Library’s collections of books, CDs, videos, DVDs and reserve items.

* Please note that if you borrow an item that has hold requests pending for other borrowers it may be borrowed for 7 days and cannot be renewed.
** 7 Day Reserve loans are being trialled in the Law Library in Semester 1, 2013.

Reminder Notices:
A few days prior to the due date for return of books and CD-Roms you will be sent an email reminder to return or renew your loans.

How can I extend my loans?
Before the item is due back, you can extend your loans online, log in via the Library Catalogue

If the item is overdue, please contact the library for renewing, either in person, or by phone - Main Library - 07 5595 1510 Law Library - 07 5595 1501

How do I check my loans and reservations?
You can check the due dates of your loans and progress of your reservations by accessing your record through the Library catalogue.

You may place a reservation on an item that is currently out on loan. You will be notified when your reserved items are available for collection.

What is the Reserve Collection?
This collection contains textbooks and audiovisual materials that are in high demand during the current semester.
Reserve items are available for loan for:

• 3 Hour Reserve: 3 three hours or overnight if borrowed within 3 hours of Library closing time.
• 7 Day Reserve: 7 Days.

3 Hour Reserve Collection items may be renewed once at the Library's discretion. They may not be renewed by phone.
7 Day Reserve Collection items may not be renewed.  Holds may be requested for 7 Day Reserve items.

Document Delivery
The Library can obtain resources from other libraries to assist Bond Staff and Students with research and study. For further information please see Document Delivery.

Reciprocal Borrowing
Current staff and students of Bond University can participate in the reciprocal borrowing scheme to use the collections of other universities to assist them in obtaining information to meet their research requirements. Registration is valid until the 28th February of the following year or final date of studies in the current year.

Staff and students from Bond University may register as reciprocal borrowers at most universities in Australia and New Zealand. A charge may apply at some universities, please go to University Libraries of Australia and New Zealand (ULANZ)  for registration details, conditions and charges that may apply.
