Request Subject Materials

The Library works closely with Faculties in course development to ensure that required print and electronic resources are available in a timely manner.

Liaison Librarians can assist with seeking out new resources and revised editions in conjunction with Academic Staff. Liaison Librarians are also happy to assist with the linking of full text electronic resources such as journal articles, e-books and reports to their course web page.

The Library ensures that high-demand material is available via short loan in the print Reserve Collection and are accessible via the Library Catalogue.

The Reserve Collection is on level two of both Main and Law libraries and operates under the Service Level Agreement for the Reserve Collection. This collection contains materials such as text books and audio visual materials that are in high demand during the current semester.

Academic Staff can place items in the Reserve Collection for students by completing the Subject Materials Request form. For more information, please read the Guidelines for Academic Staff.

The library also maintains the University's Digital Copyright Compliance Register. All requests for items are assessed for copyright compliance and electronic copies are made available for communicating to students via iLearn.
