Here are some of the key databases you might start your search with: Art and Architecture Complete (via Ebsco) - provides full text access to Australian art and architecture related academic journals, magazines, trade publications and books. Also includes an image collection of over 64,000 images. Avery Index to Architectural Periodicals (via Ebsco) – provides current literature on the architecture and design of Europe, Asia, Latin America and Australia, as well as architecture archaeology, city planning, interior design, historic preservation. Academic Onefile - multidisciplinary database with subject coverage on architecture and design. JSTOR: Arts and Sciences - contains the complete back runs of over 1000 journals, including 31 journals for Architecture and Architectural History. JSTOR is an archive and does not contain current issues. Ebsco Megafile Complete - multidisciplinary database specialising in academic journals, magazines and newspapers, many with full text and images. Select "Academic Search Complete" and "Business Source Complete" from the list of Ebsco databases. Summon - searches over 50 databases at once and is probably the easiest way to search across the greatest number of journal articles. Once you've done your search, click 'Journal Article' on the left to limit your results to the available journal articles. Here are some notable architectural journals: If you're looking for a specific article, or want to know if you can access a specific journal, enter the name of the journal into the e-Journal Portal. Specialised Electronic ResourcesEnvironment Design Guide - produced by the Australian Institute of Architects, the EDG contains papers on key themes and topics relating to built and natural environment sustainability. RUDI (Resource for Urban Design Information) - a UK web resource dedicated to urban design and placemaking, including examples of good practice, design guides, access to policy papers and full text of the journal Urban Design (three month embargo on most recent issue).
Pidgeon Digital - A collection of illustrated talks by architects and designers. Listen to architects such as Peter Cook, Zaha Hadid, Frank Gehry and many more talk about their work, with accompanying images. ARCH (via Informit) - covers Australian & New Zealand architecture, building, interior design, landscape architecture. Image Quest - Over 2 million images, with hundreds of thousands of images relating to architecture. All images are copyright-cleared for educational use.

BooksYou can search for books related to architecture using the Library Catalogue. eBooksYou'll find eBooks when you search for books using either the Library Catalogue or Summon. If you want to you can search the individual eBook platforms to see what they have: you'll find architecture eBooks in ebrary and EBL.
