Profit Announcements

ASX profit announcements are easy to find in Factiva

1. In the Free Text box type 'profit'
2. Choose the dates required. Enter your required date range by clicking on the down arrow in the date field
3. Click onto the Source tab at the left, then type ASX or Australian Stock Exchange into the Find a Source box
4. From the Source results, click onto 'Publication: Australian Stock Exchange Company Announcements'
5. Run Search

Share Prices

Share prices can be found at Trading Room or in DatAnaylsis Premium

Trading Room

Go to www.tradingroom.com.au

1. Type in ASX company code into the Stock Quote box or if you do not know this, click onto Code Lookup/ Search
2. Click onto the 1 Year Price Histor tab (left hand column) for share prices

DatAnalysis Premium

Access DatAnalysis Premium via the Electronic Resources link on the Library homepage

1. Type the ASX code into the search box
2. Go to the Price History tab on the left hand side
3. Type in the wanted date range

All Ordinaries

Trading Room

1. Click onto the All Ords link on the Trading Room homepage or go to the Markets tab
2. Click onto the Show Full History link under Index History

Competitors

A list of competitors can be found in Trading Room or DatAnalysis Premium

Trading Room

1. Enter the company code
2. On the Company results page go to Detail
3. Click onto either the 'Industry Group' or Industry Sub Group' links

DatAnalysis Premium

DatAnalysis Premium can be found via the Library Electronic resources

1. Enter the ASX code into the search box
2. Take note of the GICS Sector and GICS Industry Group information listed at the top of the company page
3. Click onto the Search Tool, then choose the Financial Search link
4. In Section A, choose the appropriate GICS Sector and Industry Group
5. In Section B select a Section and Sub Section
6. Add Query to Query List and repeat for as many Sections as required
7. Run Search 

Annual Reports

Annual reports can be found in DatAnalysis Premium

After typing the company code into the search box, Annual reports can be found via a tab on the left hand side
