1. Eligibility
Definition of Research
For the purposes of this data collection, a "research publication" is characterised by:
- substantial scholarly activity, as evidenced by discussion of the relevant literature, an awareness of the history and antecedents of work described, and provided in a format which allows a reader to trace sources of the work through citations and footnotes;
- originality, that is, it is not a compilation of existing works;
- veracity/validity through a peer review process or by satisfying the commercial publisher or gallery processes;
- increasing the stock of knowledge; and
- being in a form that enables dissemination of knowledge
Requirements
- full paper must have been published. Various formats are acceptable :
- volume of proceedings
- special edition of a journal
- normal issue of a journal
- book (or monograph)
- cd-rom or
- conference or organisational web site
- research must have been published in the 2007 calendar year and 2007 must be stated as the year of publication within or on the work being claimed
- entire work has been peer reviewed prior to publication
- be presented at conferences, workshops or seminars of national or international significance
- the author must be affiliated with Bond University
2. Verification
You must supply :
- Copy or offprint of paper
- Photocopies of contents, preface and introduction pages showing
all relevant bibliographic information
- ISBN if applicable
- title
- editor
- authors
- publisher
- dates
- Proof of national or international significance if not clearly shown in documents above.
- Evidence that research was undertaken in the author's capacity
as a staff member or student of Bond University
- By-line or footnote or statement in the publication
OR
- Statement from the author plus either official statement from the university or extract from staff/student list
- By-line or footnote or statement in the publication
- Proof of refereeing of full paper.
- a statement in proceedings or,
- statement from conference organiser/editor or,
- copy of assessment showing assessment made on full paper
- Completed and signed form for each publication being submitted.
