Postgraduate Borrowing

All current Post Graduate Students of Bond University can borrow from the Main and John & Alison Kearney Law Libraries

How do I borrow?

Bring your current Bond University student ID card to the Lending Desk to register as a borrower.


How many items can I borrow and for how long?

Postgraduate students are able to borrow from the Library's collections of books, CDs, videos, DVDs and reserve items.

How can I extend my loans?

Before the book is due back, you can extend your loans online, log in via the Library Catalogue. If the item is overdue, please contact the library for renewing, either in person, or by phone - 07 5595 1510


How do I check my loans and reservations?

You can check the due dates of your loans and progress of your reservations by accessing your record through the Library catalogue.
You may place a reservation on an item that is currently out on loan. You will be notified when your reserved items are available for collection.


What is the Reserve Collection?

This collection contains materials that are in high demand during the current semester and may be used in the library at any time during library hours.
These items are available for loan for three hours or overnight if borrowed within 3 hours of Library closing.

Reserve Collection items may not be renewed by phone.


Are there penalties for late returns?

Please return or renew your loans by the due date. You will not be able to borrow any more items if you have overdue loans. You will also accrue demerit points for overdue loans and your borrowing privileges will be suspended if you accrue 1000 points. Examination results are withheld from students with overdue loans.

Document Delivery

The Library can obtain resources from other libraries to assist Bond Staff and Students with research and study. For further information please see Document Delivery.

Reciprocal Borrowing

Current Students of Bond University can participate in the reciprocal borrowing schemes to use the collections of other universities to assist them in obtaining information to meet their research requirements. Registration is valid until the following year or final date of studies in the current year.

Students from Bond University may register as reciprocal borrowers at most universities in Australia. A charge may apply at some universities, please go to University Library Australia for registration details, conditions and charges that may apply.
