RefWorks
What is RefWorks?
RefWorks software enables you to create your own database of research references. By typing the references yourself or importing them from a database, you can create a bibliography for your paper or assignment in a citation style such as APA 5th or Harvard.
Bond University has negotiated a site licence for RefWorks, which permits all eligible staff and students of the University to use the software both at work and at home.

Using RefWorks with Microsoft Word
There are two ways of using RefWorks to insert references into your Word document:
- One Line/Cite View
- Write-N-Cite
One Line/Cite View is the preferred referencing option at Bond.
If you want to insert references using the Write-N-Cite tool on your personal computer, you will need to download a plugin. The plugin can be downloaded once you have logged into RefWorks. You will also need to use Internet Explorer as your web browser.
The Write-N-Cite plugin is not available on public computers at Bond.
