Research at Bond
Research Ethics
Application Process
The Committee has adopted the NHMRC Principles in its application form, whilst acknowledging that there are other environments in which university research is conducted and that research methodologies vary in accordance with the fields of study. They affirm fundamental rights for participants/subjects in research and provide guidance in the conduct of research. Although most research carried out by staff and students does not entail serious risks there may be some research projects where these may be present. The questions on this form are intended to assist Bond University Human Research Ethics Committee to minimise risk to everyone, including researcher(s) and participant(s).
Bond University Human Research Ethics Committee offers two types of review (see below for the application forms):
- Full Review: any research involving human participants that is NOT minimal risk. This includes ANY experimental manipulation, research involving minors or special collectivities, research about sensitive or serious social conditions.
- Expedited review: any research involving human participants that presents a minimal risk to participants. Expedited review may require up to two weeks. However many applications are processed within ten working days. For all applications please refer to Important dates. Find out more...
Researchers can also apply for a template project clearance for class exercises.
