Bond University Higher Degree by Research Committee (BUHDRC)

The Higher Degree Research Committee was established in 2008 as a Standing Committee of Academic Senate to maintain academic quality and promote university-wide procedures, processes and expectations for advancement of Bond University’s aspirations and strategic priorities in enhancing excellence in higher degree research. It has full decision making powers based on the policy and procedures as laid down by Academic Senate from time to time.

Bond University Human Research Committee

The Bond University Human Research Ethics Committee (BUHREC) is committed to protecting the welfare and rights of human participants in research conducted by members of the Bond University community. In doing so, BUHREC promotes ethically, socially, scientifically and legally responsible research activity among all members of Bond University.

The Bond University Human Research Ethics Committee comprises of a full committee and Psychology sub-committee.  The full committee meets 8 times yearly and the sub-committee meet once every semester.

Psychology Sub-Committee of BUHREC

The Psychology Sub-Committee meetings were introduced to accommodate the demands of low risk student projects in psychology, which psychology students must complete within two semesters. The Psychology Sub-Committee membership is constructed to obtain a diversity of sub-disciplines within Psychology with external members to diminish bias and provide the diversity of views required to be NHMRC compliant.
