Our Research Vision

It is important for Bond to remain small, but focused – with an emphasis on quality. Over the next five years we aim to build on areas of existing research strength and look to expand into adjacent areas.

It is important that we grow our research profile with a cautious, measured approach. We must do so without putting our teaching reputation at risk. Other universities have realised the benefits that research brings to teaching quality and student experience.

Our goals are to build on Bond’s existing areas of research strength and broaden the research base. A broader research base and a stronger research reputation will also attract future students.

Improving Bond’s external research profile will open a whole new spectrum of potential employers of Bond graduates, as well as providing a potential research income source.

Strengthening our research base will reinforce Bond’s role in the local community by supporting research into local issues and developing innovative solutions.

The Research Strategic Plan 2013-2017 is currently under development.
