At the June graduation ceremony, Dr Ken Moores, AM was awarded a post doctoral degree by the University: Doctor of Business.

The Bond University award regulations state that a post-doctoral degree shall be awarded for a distinguished contribution to knowledge which in the opinion of the reviewers gives the candidate an authoritative standing in the field of knowledge in which the work falls and an entitlement to general recognition as such by scholars in the field. The three external reviewers, all leading international scholars, included in their comments reference to Professor Moores outstanding contribution to the development of the field of family business research.

An excerpt from the graduation citation: “Professor Moores has pioneered family business research in Australia and is included in any list of international scholars considered thought leaders in this field . His foresight in the early 1990s to pursue this emerging field of research is testament to his ability to have the courage of his convictions. Importantly he has instilled this courage in his many PhD students on numerous campuses around the globe”.
