Beach Volleyball Social Competitions

Bond Beach Volleyball provides competitions in various formats and divisions to cater for all levels of beach volleyball enthusiasts. Anyone wishing to register a team can do so by contacting Bond Beach Volleyball directly on the contat details listed.

COMPETITION SCHEDULE AND PRICING

Monday
• Mixed 4's - Divisions I & II *
• Mens 4's - Divisions I & II *
Tuesday
• Men's Pairs - Divisions II**
• Open 3s - NEW

• Mixed 3s

Cost
• 4's/3s (Men's or Mixed) $7.50p.p or $30 per team
• Pairs (Men's, Women's and Mixed) $10.00p.p or $20.00 per team 
 

COMPETITION FORMAT
• Game slots are 40 minutes in duration consisting of 2 x 20min halves (1 min half time and 4 min warm up) for 4's and and 2 x 15min halves for Pairs. First games start at 6.10pm sharp.
• The game is won by the highest score at the end of the time period. There are no stops during each half.
• Basic rules for beach volleyball apply to each format however more technical rules are implemented in higher divisions of 4-a-side and Pairs competitions.
 

COMPETITION DESCRIPTIONS
4's: Mixed and Men's divisions. 4-a-side beach volleyball is suited to players with 1-2 years playing experience. There are fewer people to cover the court hence more responsibility and a higher skill requirement. This format can be enjoyed by players of all levels as skills advance. For a more enjoyable experience Mixed 4's is also played on a men's height net.
* Divisions I & II are offered to separate the compettiive ones from those just wanting to have fun.
Pairs: Olympic style 2 on 2 Beach Volleyball. This format is only suitable for players with experience as the style of game requires a very high skill level. Players should look to progressing from 4-a-side volleyball to Pairs as their skills improve and they want a more challenging workout.
**Division I uses proper FIVB rules while Division II adopts less strict ball handling for the less expereienced players.
