Group Exercise Class Descriptions Deep water Running A fun non-weight bearing water workout conducted in our heated 50m Olympic pool. Participants are suspended in the water by a buoyancy belt. Emphasis is placed on joint mobility, cardio-vascular conditioning and muscular endurance. Not only an excellent class for those in rehabilitation but also for the everyday fitness enthusiast. No swimming experience is necessary. (Hat, sunscreen & water bottle required) Core Strength A combination of Pilates and Yoga with a series of body conditioning exercises aimed at strengthening and lengthening the muscles, where little or no impact is placed on the joints of the body. Focus is placed on improved posture, flexibility, balance, co-ordination, abdominal control and body awareness. Strength & Conditioning A resistance based group exercise class to music utilizing participants own body weight, barbells and dumbbells. The focus is on conditioning, stimulating and strengthening all major muscle groups. The benefit of participating in this class is increased mobility and functional movement. The class finishes with a cool down and a stretch. Gym A specially tailored gym program will be designed to suit each member’s individual fitness level and mobility. The class will commence with a warm up on either a treadmill or an exercise bike, progressing to the weight equipment and finishing with a cool down and stretch. The session will be fully supervised by a Fitness Instructor. Aerobics A low impact, but challenging exercise class to motivating music. The class focuses on cardio-vascular fitness, general wellbeing, balance, co-ordination and incorporates an abdominal strengthening component, concluding with a cool down and a full body stretch.
