Good public transport connections make it easy to get out and about on your own or in smaller groups. Travelling just a little further afield, you’ll find the World Heritage-listed rainforests of the hinterland networked with well-marked bushwalking trails, internationally famous theme parks, country wineries, golf courses and much more. With good rail connections, Queensland’s state capital, Brisbane, is only an hour away, offering the full city array of live theatres, art galleries and concert venues. The on-campus office of Student Flights offers a regular program of day trips for Bond students to local theme parks, wildlife sanctuaries and adventure activities such as scuba diving, rock climbing, learn-to-surf lessons, canyoning, horseriding and hot air ballooning. They also arrange longer trips away to some of Australia’s top holiday spots like the Whitsunday Islands, Fraser Island, Uluru/Ayers Rock, Sydney and Byron Bay. You’ll find full details about their recreational program at www.bond.edu.au/recreation
