Wireless Access
BondStudents Wireless Network
Please download the instructions below for how to configure common operating systems to connect to the ‘BondStudents’ Wireless Network.‘BondStudents’ may be accessed from a WiFi-enabled laptop or mobile device that supports WPA wireless security.
WaveLan Wireless Network
Bond University provides extensive wireless coverage across all campus buildings and surrounding areas. The wireless network is available to all staff and students.
STEP 1. What do I need?
- Laptop
- Wireless Network Card
STEP 2. Connect to the Wireless Network
After turning on your computer, insert or turn on your wireless card. After a few minutes a box will appear in the system notification tray saying “One or more wireless networks are available".
If you experience any problems connecting to the WaveLAN network, please check the following settings on your laptop:
STEP 3. Log onto the Wireless Network
After successfully establishing a wireless connection, open your web browser (eg. Internet Explorer) and type in any web address. You will then be taken to the wireless network logon page.
(Please Note: If the logon page doesn't display, type login.bond.edu.au or 131.245.151.252 into the address bar in your browser)
Logon using:
- User name = Network Username
- Password = Network Password
- Domain = Students
STEP 4. Access the Bond University Netwok
Access the Bond Intranet, your home drive and email from your own computer. For more details see Off Campus Connect
STEP 5. Printing via the Wireless Network

If you experience difficulties connecting to the wireless network please contact the IT Service Desk
To assist the IT Service Desk staff in resolving any issues, please check the following:
- Laptop has wireless capabilities and is functioning correctly
- Up-to-date service and security patches
- Up-to-date and valid virus protection
- Web browser is functioning correctly
- Have turned on antennas used by the laptop
- Check that the access point WaveLAN or BondStudents is appearing in your wireless connection window
