PasswordsChanging your PasswordTo change your password, please use the Bond University Password Change Utility and enter your username and password. Access to the Password Change Utility is available anytime, and from anywhere (even after expiry). New passwords must meet the following password complexity rules: - Minimum of 8 characters
- At least three (3) of the following five categories:
- UPPERCASE characters (A – Z)
- lowercase characters (a – z)
- Digits (0 – 9)
- Special characters (examples: !, $, # or %)
- Unicode characters (see: What Is Unicode)
- The password does not contain three or more characters from the user's account name
Please note: You can also change your password at any time when logged on to a workstation on campus by pressing Control-Alt-Delete and selecting the ‘Change Password’ button. Password ExpiryIn line with the University’s Password Management Policy for computer accounts, students and staff will be prompted to change their computer account password each year. This occurs via a pop up prompt when you log on to a Bond workstation. Next time the system forces you to change your password you will need to enter a new password that complies with the following requirements: - Minimum of 8 characters
- At least three (3) of the following five categories:

Please also note the following information: - You will be notified if you logon to a Bond University workstation in the 5 days prior to your account expiry.
- You can change your password at any time from any location on the internet at password.bond.edu.au
- You can change your password at any time when logged on to a workstation on campus by pressing Control-Alt-Delete and selecting the ‘Change Password’ button.
- When you change your password you will need to update your details in any device that store these credentials for email and wireless access ie smart phones, tablets and laptops.
- If you are about to travel or work away from Bond it is recommended that change your password prior to your travel.
