Robing Day

You must collect your academic dress on Friday of Week 4, that is the day before the Graduation Ceremony, between 9.00am and 4.00pm from the Robing Room located next to Don's Tavern in the Student Court.
The Robing Room will NOT be open for collection of gowns on graduation day.

Saturday, Week 4

Graduation Day

Graduation ceremonies are usually held on Saturday of Week 4 in the University Sports Hall. There are usually two ceremonies which are held: at 10.30am - Faculty of Business, Information Technology/Institute of Sustainable Development and Architecture/ Faculty of Health Sciences and at 3.00pm Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences/ Faculty of Law

If you are attending the Ceremony you need to arrive on campus 1 hour and 15 minutes prior to commencement of the ceremony. This will allow enough time for all graduands to be lined up according to their Faculty, program and in alphabetical order. Graduands will enter the Hall approximately 40 minutes prior to the ceremony and be seated strictly in the order in which they will receive their degree. This order must correlate with the list from which the speaker will be announcing graduand names.

If you do not arrive in time to be lined up, your name will be crossed off the list of students given to the speaker.

If you arrive late you may not be permitted to join the ceremony.

Guests will be admitted to the Sports Hall approximately 15 to 30 minutes prior to the ceremony. The following services will be available down stairs in Don’s Tavern before and after the ceremony
