StudentsWe understand that university study can present new challenges in the form of writing essays, giving class presentations, managing your time and preparing for exams. The Student Learning Support team offers personalised help in one-on-one sessions and small group workshops or seminars to improve your skills in: - Oral presentations

- Grammar and punctuation
- Developing your reading skills
- Organising and structuring an essay
- Managing time and selecting ways to study
- Preparing for exams
Student Learning Support also offers Maths Help and an English Language Skills Assessment (ELSA) test. We are located on the third floor of the Library Annex. N.B. While participation in any of these services is voluntary, students may be referred by their lecturers. StaffStudent Learning Support also offers free seminars, workshops and advice to academic and general staff. Learning Advisors are available for consultation with supervisors, course coordinators and lecturers to help improve the overall study experience for students. Bookings Personal consultations are free but each student is allowed only one session per week. Online bookings can be made by clicking on the 'Book Appointment' tab on the Student Learning Support ilearn community site. You can book up to two weeks in advance. Please don’t be late: If you are more than ten minutes late, we will see another student instead. Cancellations: Please cancel a booking as soon as possible to enable other students to take your appointment.
