Listening for general content, specific words, key points, answers to questions and summarising are all great ways to improve your listening ability. Listen to the radio and TV or hire a movie. A good idea is to record a program and listen to it a number of times, each time increasing what you understood. If you have subtitles leave them off until you have listened to the section a few times and then turn them on to check your comprehension.
