Support Services
Bond University's personalised attention is not only a feature of its teaching but also extends to its care for its students. To this end the university provides a group of staff to support students in every aspect of their study, and if necessary to provide advice with regards to personal problems as well. The Registrar, Mr Alan Finch is also readily available for students to approach and voice any concerns they have.
The beginning of this support starts when students arrive on the Gold Coast. For the benefit of new students there is an orientation program held in Bond Week (the week before classes commence) to assist new students with getting to know one another. There are staff who can assist with accommodation requirements. A brief 'Freshers Guide' to survival in the first few months has been written by students from Business.
As the semester gets under way students may want to take advantage of study skills sessions run by staff to assist with note taking, essay preparation and time management. For international students staff are able to provide confidential assistance in settling into a new country and understanding the customs and habits as well as with the university's learning environment.
Confidential assistance is available for any problems you may have. These include counselling services for specific personal requirements including diet, health and religion. If students have a disability and need to discuss an issue relating to it they should contact Mark Stringer.
