Services
An essential factor in preparing new students for university life
is an orientation program called Bond Week which is held in the week
prior to the commencement of classes. The program consists of many activities
designed to acquaint new students with their physical, academic and social environment
and to welcome them to the University. Bond Week activities include:

- Welcome BBQ on Sunday evening
- Trips on Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday
- Trivia Night on Monday
- Introductions to the Faculties and their programs on Tuesday
- Study Abroad/Exchange
Information Session on Tuesday morning
- Student Council BBQ
on Wednesday afternoon
- A variety of information sessions on Wednesday and Thursday
(Study Preparation, CV Writing, Information seminars for
International students and Parents of New Students)
- Main library and Law library tours on Wednesday and Thursday
- '3 nights of absolute non-stop fun' @ Don's Tavern on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday nights
- BUSA Pool Party on Friday afternoon
- Beach Day @ Burleigh on Saturday
- Further social events organised by the Student Council

Attendance at Bond Week activities provides students with
the opportunity to meet fellow new students, returning students and staff.
