Postgraduate Diploma in Law

  • Postgraduate Diploma in Law

Duration: 1 semester full-time (4 subjects)

Intakes: Each January, May & September

Entry Requirements: An undergraduate degree in any discipline

Program Structure:

Each diploma includes 2 compulsory subjects:

Introduction to Common Law
Advanced Legal Research and Writing

and two electives, chosen from the relevant area of specialisation (where applicable).

Professional Outcomes:

The Postgraduate Diplomas are designed to broaden the skills and knowledge already gained in an undergraduate program or to develop skills and knowledge in a new professional area. Alternatively, the Postgraduate Diploma may be used as an entry or exit point for a Masters degree.

Professional Recognition:

These awards are not professional degrees and do not qualify students to practice law in Australia.
