MESSAGE FROM THE DEAN

Welcome to the first edition of the Faculty of Law Newsletter.  I am delighted to be able to share with you the activities and highlights of our students, graduates and staff.
One of many highlights of the year was the opening of the new Legal Skills Centre by the Federal Attorney-General Mr Philip Ruddock.  The Skills centre will give our students better access to a broad scope of flexible learning spaces to develop a wide range of practical legal skills using modern wireless technology.

The Legal Skills Centre could not have come at a better time to accommodate for our largest intake of students ever recorded.  It was also a year of expansion in the area of international university exchange partners, giving our Law students more opportunities to study overseas.

Looking to 2008, the High School Mooting Competition will go international with the winners of the Malaysian Competition competing in the Australian rounds in July 2008.
